Richmond to Easby Abbey – Circular Walk
Walking Distance: Approximately 4 miles
Difficulty: Easy
This gentle circular walk takes in the sights of historic Richmond as well as the evocative ruins of Easby Abbey founded in 1152. Following a disused railway line for the majority of the circuit, walkers are rewarded with stunning scenery and a number of historic buildings including the abbey and neighbouring St. Agatha’s church ( be sure to enter the church which houses a number of intact 13th century paintings).
Marske and Skelton Moor
Distance: 6 miles
Difficulty: Moderate with some uphill sections
This circular walk leaves from the village of Marske (approximately 5 miles from Richmond) and offers varied scenery and spectacular views from atop of Skelton Moor. A good level of fitness is required for the short, but fairly steep, accent to the top of the moor.

Reeth and Marrick Priory
Walking Distance: 7.5 miles
Difficulty: Moderate with some uphill sections
This moderate circular walk starts in the dales village of Reeth before following the river Swale towards 12th century Marrick priory. Founded in 1152, Marrick priory was inhabited by 12 nuns at the time of the reformation in the late 1500’s.
